Playstation 4 Save Mounter 1.3 : A Tool For Managing PS4 Saves

The Playstation 4 Save Mounter 1.3 is a utility designed to manage save data on the PS4, allowing users to manipulate their game saves in various ways.

This version is noted for its simplicity and ease of use, as it does not perform any patching, which can be both an advantage and a limitation.

Key Features

  • Mounting Saves: The tool enables users to mount save data as read/write, allowing them to make decrypted copies of their saves, replace existing saves with modified ones, or even use saves from other players.
  • Creating New Saves: Users can create new save files using this tool.
  • Limitations: It cannot replace save files with encrypted saves, and it requires an exploited console to function.

To use the Playstation 4 Save Mounter 1.3, you need:

  • PS4 Firmware: The tool is compatible with PS4 firmware 5.05.
  • FTP Client: An FTP client like FileZilla is necessary for transferring files.
  • ps4debug: A recent version of ps4debug is required, with a binary included in the download.
  • .NET Framework 2.0: The tool requires the ability to run .NET Framework 2.0 executables.

Instructions

  1. Load ps4debug and start a game.
  2. Open FTP and launch the Save Mounter tool.
  3. Connect to your PS4 by entering its IP address.
  4. Get Processes and select your game.
  5. Setup and Search for the save you want to mount.
  6. Select Mount Permission (default is read-only) and click Mount.
  7. Access the mounted save via FTP in /mnt/pfs/ or /mnt/sandbox/{title}/savedataX.
  8. Unmount when finished.

Some games use SCE saves, which may not appear in search results. To manage these:

  • Copy and rename the SCE save files.
  • Modify the database using an SQLite editor to add a new entry.
  • Replace the original database and proceed as usual.

The tool was developed by Aida and ChendoChap, with acknowledgments to golden.

Overall, the Playstation 4 Save Mounter 1.3 provides a useful set of features for managing PS4 saves, though it requires specific conditions to operate effectively.
